When offered the opportunity to create another family fresh recipe using Naked Juice, we jumped at the chance! Naked Juice has just come out with their new Power Garden juices which combine over 1 pound of veggies into each 15.2 ounce bottle. We chose to play with the Berry Veggie variety, which is chock full of purple carrots, beets, sweet potato, strawberries, cherries, plum and apple. The farmers market has been ripe with beets and strawberries. I love the rich colors of both the golden beets, and the deep red beets, but my kids are certainly NOT fans. Unable to resist these beauties, I found myself needing to figure out a way to use them that the kids would enjoy. (more…)

I’m no stranger to the challenge of getting kids to eat fruit and veggies. I have one child that will eat pretty much any veggie you put in front of him – – but won’t touch fruit. And another who literally would hide blueberries under his highchair cushion when he was a baby for fear of someone taking his precious fruit — but won’t touch a vegetable. Therein lies the conundrum that many most of us face: How do we get our kids to eat, let alone enjoy, their fruit and vegetables? (more…)
