Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Out of the Box FoodSM Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Special Equipment: double boiler (or small saucepan and heat safe bowl), wax paper

Time: 10 minutes


  • 70 % Cacao or higher chocolate bars
  • Strawberries, chilled.


  • In double boiler (or saucepan) simmer water.
  • Break chocolate bars into pieces.
  • Place top of double boiler or heat-safe bowl on top of simmering water and add 1/2 of chocolate pieces.
  • Stir with wooden spoon until melted and smooth.
  • Take off heat and stir in the other half of the chocolate pieces.  Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Dip strawberry into melted chocolate and lay on wax paper to cool.
  • Enjoy!

*If making with children, please let chocolate cool slightly and transfer to cool bowl before dipping strawberries.
