Bon Appetit!
I’ve been teaching my 3 year old daughter that it’s ok to be hungry between meals – and I’m noticing that she eats more when we actually serve the meal! Yay 🙂 It’s been hard sticking to it, because she’s only 24 lbs and under the 5th percentile for her weight, and any time she’s hungry (in the past) I’ve given in and let her eat *anything* because I wanted her to gain weight.
I really need to plan my meals more regularly.
My kids have always been served the same meal as the adults. I have also started telling them that they don’t have to like it, but they do have to eat it. As long as there is no gagging, I figure it won’t hurt them to choke whatever it is down!
Kids eat what adults eat – this is number one rule in our house. I am still working on the no snacking rule, but found out that it is really worth it as the kids are more prone to eating their lunch and dinner.
Bon Apetit!

#8~Eat slow and you enjoy it longer, too !
Bonjour! Real food is alive and full of eneryy. Who wants to eat dead food anyway?
No snacking!
My kids eat everything (though they don’t always love it :)) and I did just put the food in front of them that we were eating, which was sometimes curry, eggplant parmesan, cream of broccoli soup (with no cream, just veggies pureed)…..and they love that stuff now! They’re 4 & 7. I just kept insisting that we all eat the same stuff and I can say, it worked for us. My favorite food does happen to be Mac & Cheese, so we do have that frequently. ha ha I love all the new creations on Out of the Box, such good ideas!
#10 Relax! I need to relax about it! hahaha!

I really wish my family would implement Rule #4:Eat Family Meals Together-No distractions!! My family has wayyyy too many TV dinners and it’s totally getting in the way of how we communicate
“No snacking” is so hard because I have always been a grazer. I do healthy grazing most of the time, and my kid follow suit, of course.
I would love to have a copy of this book!
